Australia Work Visa for Canadian Citizens

Canadian citizens can work in Australia with a Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417) or a Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189). The Working Holiday Visa allows Canadian citizens to work and stay in Australia for up to a year.

Australia Working Holiday Visa

The newly launched working holiday visa is specially designed to attract young people from eligible countries to work in Australia while enjoying an extended holiday in the country. The following are the key features of Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417 and Subclass 462):

  • Can be applied for up to 3 times
  • Must have a Canadian passport for at least 18 months
