The government of New Brunswick is actively inviting entrepreneurs, international graduates and skilled workers who are willing to migrate and settle in the province. Eligible applicants for the NBPNP can qualify for Canada PR within six months or less.

New Brunswick Express Entry Stream 

Under this stream, the Government of New Brunswick uses the federal Express Entry stream to meet the labour market requirements of the province. The province also aims to fulfil the demographic needs of New Brunswick through this stream.

The New Brunswick Express Entry stream makes use of the “Expression of Interest” (EOI) model to invite skilled immigrants to the province. EOIs are only accepted if the applicant meets the conditions specified for that particular PNP draw along with fulfilling the general eligibility requirement.

 

New Brunswick Express Entry Stream Eligibility 

The minimum score to qualify for the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream is 67 points under the CRS score calculator. You would be eligible to apply for the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream if you:

  • Have an active Express Entry profile
  • Are aged between 22 and 55 years
  • Are presently working and living in New Brunswick
  • Have an employment letter which can be produced along with your EOI
  • Have a valid Canada Work Permit
  • Have a minimum full-time skilled work experience of 1 year in job roles listed under the NOC Skill Type 0, A or B
  • Are proficient in English or French with a minimum proficiency level equal to or more than CLB 7
  • Have valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) reports demonstrating education equivalent to Canadian education standards
  • Meet the eligibility criteria specified for Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

Note: You must include your employment letter and NOC code along with your Expression of Interest (EOI).

 

New Brunswick Express Entry Stream Requirements 

The following are the documents required while applying for the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream:

  • A completed and self-attested Express Entry Labour Market Stream Information Form
  • A completed, dated and self-attested Skilled Worker Employer Support Form (if applicable)
  • Consent and declaration form duly signed by the principal applicant and their spouse or common-law partner
  • Documents demonstrating proof of sufficient financial resources
  • Fee payment form completed and signed by the applicant
  • Educational Credential Assessment(ECA) reports
  • Documents to prove previous work experience
  • An LMIA approved arranged employment letter (if available)
  • Language proficiency test results
  • Travel documents and a valid passport
  • Proof of Identity and civil status
  • Police Clearance report
  • Documents to prove the relationship with dependents (if applicable)
  • Recent passport-sized pictures of the applicant and the dependents
  • Proof of relationship with any family member already residing in New Brunswick

Under this stream, the Government of New Brunswick aims to invite experienced business professionals who plan to set up or own a business in New Brunswick. To qualify under this stream, applicants must invest a minimum amount in the business they claim to have.

The New Brunswick Entrepreneurial Stream offers an easy immigration pathway to entrepreneurs with the potential to set up, execute and actively manage a business in New Brunswick. The applicant should also have an intention of migrating, living and working in New Brunswick permanently.

 

New Brunswick Business Immigration Eligibility 

The minimum score to qualify for the New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream is 65 points under the CRS score calculator. You would be eligible to apply for the New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream if you:

  1. Are aged between 22 and 55 years
  2. Have completed a two-year post-secondary education after high school
  3. Have a basic proficiency in English or French (minimum CLB 5)
  4. Can present a business plan approved by the Government of New Brunswick
  5. Have a minimum bank balance of CAD 600,000 of which at least CAD 300,000 is unaffected by debts or other financial obligations
  6. Present a business plan that can contribute significantly towards the development of economy of the province
  7. Have a basic level of proficiency in English (CLB 5) or French (NCLC 5) 
  8. Have at least three years of work experience in managing a business
  9. Intend to live in New Brunswick permanently

 

New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream Requirements

To apply for the New Brunswick Business Immigration stream, you must invest in one of the following:

  • A minimum business investment of CAD 250,000 excluding tax
  • Control at least 33.33% equity in business
  • Buy business premises such as building or land to a maximum of 25% of your total business investment
  • Purchase the necessary equipment required for your business by investing a minimum of 50% of your total business investment
  • A minimum investment of CAD 15,000 to buy vehicles required for transporting your goods

  2. Are proficient in French with a proficiency level of NCLC 5
  3. Have an intention of migrating to and settling in the province
  4. Have a degree or foreign high school diploma equivalent to Canadian educational standards
  5. Have a qualifying connection to New Brunswick in one of the following ways:
  6. An exploratory in-person visit to New Brunswick made within 12 months of applying for an EOI
  7. A job offer under a New Brunswick employer
  8. Any of your close family members or relatives is already staying in the province as a Canadian citizen or PR

 

New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream Requirements

New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot 

Under this stream, the Government of New Brunswick along with the federal government aims to address the key labour shortages in the province. The program also aims to help newcomers settle in the province by providing integration services to them.

The stream works with the collaborative effort of the federal government and six selected workers in New Brunswick and aims to bring skilled immigrants to New Brunswick. The six employers eligible to take part in the critical worker pilot include workers from:

  • Cooke Aquaculture
  • Groupe Savoie Inc
  • Groupe Westco
  • Imperial Manufacturing group
  • J D Irving Ltd
  • McCain Foods

Employers meeting the following requirements are selected to participate in the program:

  • Have a good track record of recruiting immigrants
  • Have lucrative settlement plans for transportation and housing that can help in retaining the newcomers
  • Have an extensive human resource planning for hiring foreign workers
  • Can provide up to 200 hours of language training to candidates
  • Offer assistance and support to international employees willing to pursue secondary education equivalent to Canadian standards

 

New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Eligibility 

You would be eligible to apply for the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot if you:

  • Are aged between 19 and 59 years
  • Have a valid, non-seasonal and full-time job offer from any of the employers approved to participate in the program
  • Have a minimum language proficiency score of CLB 4 in English or French
  • Have valid ECA reports demonstrating your educational qualifications
  • Have a minimum professional experience of one year in a job role listed in under shortage occupations

Note: Your job experience will be considered only if it is in the same NOC as listed in the job offer.
